Summit on the Summit: Clean Water Crisis

Can you imagine life without FIJI waters and no hot showers? I don't think so! Yet, every day 4,000 children die from drinking unclean drinking water! In an effort to raise awareness:: PUR Water Filtration recruited celebrities and activists like Lupe Fiasco, Jessica Biel, and Emile Hirsch and others to climb Africa's tallest mountain: Mt. Kilmanjaro to raise awareness for the world's water shortage. Together they produced
Summit on the Summit, a documentary about Africa's current water crisis.

The climbers spent time in a Tanzanian village where they saw the effects of the global water crisis. In America, we are privileged-- currently, over one billion people across the world don't have access to clean drinking water and are forced to drink from bacteria-filled rivers and streams which quickly lead to disease and death.

This problem can't be solved overnight, but PUR Water Filtration is working on ways to end the dirty water epidemic. Among other appliances, they have invented the PUR sachet which is a tiny packet of powder that transforms potential fatal water into PUR water within 30 minutes. Do what you can. Stop leaving the faucet running when your brushing your teeth, for God sake's, and stop buying all that damn bottled water... like seriously the kiddies are depending on you.
