1982: Comedy Show
Comedy Shows are one thing that I enjoy doing in Gainesville. These future accountants and lawyers come together with those who don't bathe and have mountain beards to put on a performance with the simple goal to make us laugh. Oh, how noble. The crowd is never more that 25 people, but all have one thing in common-- each one of them is drunk off there rockers. Everything's funnier after a couple Long-islands. It's a good time-- even if the jokes aren't funny. Even if they push it to the limit and start talking about raping infants. If you don't laugh, they'll get nervous and move on to the next joke. Very fluid. Very fun. Everyone in the room is just trying to get drunk and laugh their asses off. The show happens every week, but on last Tuesdays performance at 1982, a couple of the Rooftop Comedy Comedians for UF performed like J.C. Currais, Disco the one man party, and others who provided a belligerent, irreverent, immoral, ungodly blast!
Check a link out,
